In addition to regular training travel by Steven K. Wilson MD, the Wilson Educational Foundation hosts multiple signature events each year.
IPP Training Scholarships
The Wilson Educational Foundation Urology Scholarship is focused on developing promising urologists into future prosthetic urologists. For physicians with fewer than five years in practice, the fellowships offer immersive training on surgical techniques, communication skills, marketing, and practice development, including scrubbing-in with high volume implanters, digital marketing instruction, and personal mentorship.

Applications are now open for a fellowship opportunity this December, 2025. Hosted by the largest volume IPP implanter in the world, Mohammed Hamdan, the session will be attended and co-hosted by Dr. Steven K. Wilson. Participants receive an aviation reimbursement up to $3,000, hotel accommodations, most meals, and airport transportation. Three scholars will be selected by the Wilson Educational Foundation Board for this opportunity. Participating scholars will receive:
Immersive training in Amman, Jordan
Scrubbing during surgery for multiple primary and revision IPPs
Video seminar in operative technique with Dr. Wilson
Instruction on marketing to patients and physicians, including specific suggestions for personalized future marketing materials
Participation in communication skills education and exposure to a different cultural environment for prosthetic urology
Invitations to the private Wilson Cup gala dinner at AUA
Set of Uramix backward cutting scissors
Applicants must submit the form below, as well as attach the noted required files — two letters of reference, current CV, and an essay of 1000 words or less detailing scholar’s goals and objectives.
